This web site offers 42 walking routes (February 2025), updates and news but I have also written two physical books over the years, the first, in 2012, with 30 routes and the second, in 2016, with 32 routes — that's 104 routes spread out across Extremadura, in total. More will follow ...

The latest book, published in 2025, is a bit different as it is first and foremost a history book but it does have some walking routes because the only way to see many of the historical remains the book relates, is to walk to reach them. The book gives GPS points but the more complicated things to find also have directions. There are 280 historical sights listed and more could have been added but the book was already rather long ...

The history book, 'The History of Extremadura' and where to see it, and the two previous books, 'Walking in Extremadura' and 'The Sierras of Extremadura' each have their own page under the 'books' heading and updates will continue to be posted as and when they are needed. or come up.
